For Apple users who prefer the company’s smaller tablets, the long wait for the updated iPad Mini is almost over. Earlier this week, Apple announced the first major revision to Apple’s travel-friendly tablet product line since 2021. Prices for the iPad Mini start at $500, and all configurations and colors are available for pre-order on Amazon ahead of the tablet’s launch on October 23rd. Storage capacity starts at 128GB for the entry-level model and goes up to 512GB. Color options include Space Grey, Blue, Purple, and Starlight.

With the upgrade, iPad Mini now features a powerful A17 Pro chip, which Apple says can deliver up to 30% more power. The GPU is also about 25% faster, and the tablet also offers: Apple Pencil Pro supportin case you want to do quick sketches while on the go. It’s currently on sale for the lowest price ever at $90 and is the perfect tool if you want to get creative.
All in all, there’s enough hardware power here to run your favorite games and use intensive creative apps like Procreate and LumaFusion. There’s also support for Apple Intelligence (Apple’s new AI system coming soon) and an 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display for crisp Netflix and gaming sessions.
With the release of the new iPad Mini next week, Amazon has reduced the price of the 2021 iPad Mini to $380. This model only comes with 64 GB of storage, but it also launched at a retail price of $500. It’s nice to see Apple maintain the entry-level price of $500 with the 2024 iPad Mini, while doubling the storage and significantly improving performance.

If you prefer something more standard-sized, there are some great deals on the 2024 iPad Pro and iPad Air, which were released earlier this year. Choose iPad Pro because it’s designed to last for years and offers the best of Apple’s technology, including a high-resolution display and a powerful M4 chip that can run AAA games like Assassin’s Creed Mirage. There is no doubt about it. You’ll save $100 on the larger 13-inch model with 512 GB of storage capacity, while the 11-inch version with a whopping 1 TB of storage capacity drops to $1,484 (was $1,599).
While the iPad Pro may be a bit too expensive for some, the new M2 iPad Air tablet is a powerful and portable option in between. Amazon is offering products with the M2 chip at a slight discount, offering a crisp display, a smooth user experience, and a surprising amount of power inside a sleek shell.
Or, if you’re looking for a tablet to relax in bed watching videos or browsing the web, older iPad models will do just fine. One of the great bargains on Amazon is the 9th generation iPad on sale for $224, which is a great deal considering its regular price is $329.
