The best Prime Day iPhone sale is here – get the iPhone 16 Pro Max now for 1 cent

Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro Max isn’t cheap, especially if you’re after the 1TB version. But with Prime Day right around the corner, and thanks to Amazon’s epic sale where you can buy a 1TB iPhone 16 Pro Max for pennies, now’s the perfect time to consider buying one.

With Boost Mobile, the final cost is essentially $0.01. Normally, you’d have to pay the full $1,599 for that, but with Amazon’s Prime Day Deal, the phone itself costs pennies when you sign up for a 36-month finance plan that includes the cost of service. . This deal is not limited to the iPhone 16 Pro Max, but is available on all iPhone 16 models.

We understand that you may want to see the upfront cost rather than what you can get through a financial plan. But what’s really interesting here is that Amazon’s Prime Day deals are better than other carriers like Verizon, AT&T, and even T-Mobile itself (Boost Mobile’s parent company).

First, the terms and conditions state that you must commit to paying $81.66 per month for 36 months. Ultimately, it costs $2,939.76 to activate a 1TB iPhone 16 Pro Max on Boost Mobile’s Unlimited plan, which offers up to 30GB of premium data per month before speed reduction. Obviously, this is a huge cost over the $1,599 price of the phone alone. However, there is no need to worry. I asked Google Gemini what the total cost of ownership would be for the exact same phone. But for AT&T and Verizon.

According to a study conducted by , most people end up using their cell phone for two to three years. sell cells. I tend to agree with 3 years since the year-on-year increase is very small. So waiting 2-3 generations can make a big difference in performance.

AT&T total cost of ownership

Google Gemini analyzes the total cost of ownership for the exact same iPhone, but also calculates the average unlimited plans from those carriers. Carriers typically offer two-year financing agreements. Currently, carriers are offering up to $1,000 in discounts on trade-in offers. Here’s how Google Gemini calculates the total cost of ownership:

  • Device cost after trade-in: $1,599 – $1,000 = $599
  • Monthly device payment: $599 / 36 months = $16.64
  • Total device cost for 36 months: $16.64/month * 36 months = $599.04 (rounding may occur)
  • Total cost of plan over 36 months: $90 per month * 36 months = $3,240
  • Total total cost: $599.04 (device) + $3,240 (plan) = $3,839.04

Verizon total cost of ownership

Similarly, we asked Google Gemini to calculate the cost of a 1TB iPhone 16 Pro Max with Verizon’s unlimited plan. The breakdown is as follows:

  • Device cost after trade-in: $1,599 – $1,000 = $599
  • Monthly device payment: $599 / 36 months = $16.64
  • Total device cost for 36 months: $16.64/month * 36 months = $599.04 (rounding may occur)
  • Total cost of plan over 36 months: $85 per month * 36 months = $3,060
  • Total total cost: $599.04 (device) + $3,060 (plan) = $3,659.04

Is Boost Mobile’s offer better?

As you can see, you’ll end up paying $3,658.04 via AT&T and $3,839.04 via Verizon. Meanwhile, Amazon’s Prime Day deal with Boost Mobile costs $81.66 per month for 36 months for $2,939.76.

That’s the savings you’re guaranteed to get through this deal, and that’s why it’s the best iPhone 16 Pro Max deal you can find right now. And unlike what its rivals offer, you don’t have to trade in your old phone to get the biggest discount. This is important to note as only select phones qualify for the $1,000 discount.

People often forget that another part of buying a new cell phone is the service that comes with it. When you consider the actual price of the iPhone 16 Pro Max, it doesn’t get any better than this Amazon Prime Day sale.
