It has long been rumored that Samsung will launch a thinner, better-specced version of the Galaxy Z Fold 6. Yesterday, we reported that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition could be released next week. Now, a newly leaked video has revealed that Samsung intends to announce this phone next week.
Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition could be announced on October 21st

This video is a teaser for the upcoming phone and shows a person walking with a letter envelope in his hand and slipping it under a door. When I opened the envelope, the screen displayed the date 24.10.21 and “you are invited” message.
What do you expect from the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition?
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition is said to feature a thinner design. It is rumored to be 4.9mm thin when unfolded and 10.6mm thin when folded. It’s not as thin as some foldable phones from Chinese brands, but it’s still a step in the right direction. Additionally, Samsung will likely sell an IP48 rating for dust and water resistance, which Chinese-made flip phones don’t have. The device is likely to feature a titanium frame similar to the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
The phone is said to feature a 6.5-inch cover screen and an 8-inch foldable inner screen. It could potentially include a slightly larger battery to power a larger screen. It will launch with Android 14-based One UI 6.1.1 pre-installed and potentially get seven major Android OS updates.
The upcoming foldable phone is likely to use the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip as the Galaxy Z Fold 6. However, it could have a better camera. According to some reports, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition may come with a 200MP main rear camera, while the rest of the cameras may remain the same as the standard Galaxy Z Fold 6. .
