Samsung was late to the smart ring party by introducing the smart ring earlier this year, but released it a few months ago. It was first made available to the public in some countries, including the United States. The South Korean tech giant is now planning to expand the availability of Galaxy Ring, starting with India.
Samsung India has announced that Galaxy Ring has been launched in the Indian market. Retail price is 38,999 rupees (approximately $465).
“With Galaxy Ring, we are paving the way to a healthier and more connected future for everyone,” said Aditya Babbar, vice president, MX Business, Samsung India, in an announcement blog post.
Users interested in getting their hands on it can buy it from Samsung’s site, which is partnered with Amazon and Flipkart e-commerce platforms. There are three color variations: titanium black, titanium silver, and titanium gold. The company also offers a size kit that lets users check nine different sizes, from size 5 to size 13, so users can check their preferred ring size before purchasing their Galaxy Ring.
Users can purchase the Galaxy Ring through domestic EMI options as part of the launch campaign till October 18, while getting a free 25W travel adapter with the purchase of the smart ring.
The smart ring category has recently been on the rise in various growing markets. It’s encouraging to see the Galaxy Ring expanding in India, alongside peers like Amazfit’s Helio Ring, which recently became available in India.
Galaxy Ring provides 24/7 health monitoring and weighs just 3 grams. It features a titanium finish with a concave design and is IP68 and 10 ATM water and dust resistant. Additionally, it is powered by Health AI, which provides real-time insights into your health data through the Samsung Health app. The Galaxy Ring offers a wealth of health tracking features, and needless to say, it works well when paired with Samsung phones.
