I’m not a tablet power user. You don’t need a powerful tablet to replace your MacBook Pro or iMac for video editing or graphic design. I use my tablet primarily for entertainment. This includes streaming videos on YouTube and subscription services, reading news, making notes and lists, checking baseball updates, checking the weather, playing games, and more. Verizon’s plans start at $30 per month, which isn’t cheap. Data plan options are perfect for users who frequently use their tablets on the go outside of the comfort of Wi-Fi.

I keep the TCL Tab 10 Nxtpaper, data plan or not, because I mainly use it around the house. If you use your tablet or laptop in an area without Wi-Fi, it’s okay to use your iPhone as a hotspot.
