TCL Tab 10 Nxpaper is an entertainment tablet that takes your essentials with you wherever you go. It’s not meant to replace a brand new $1,000 iPad, but it can replace an e-reader or an older model iPad (which it did for me).
I’m not a tablet power user. You don’t need a powerful tablet to replace your MacBook Pro or iMac for video editing or graphic design. I use my tablet primarily for entertainment. This includes streaming videos on YouTube and subscription services, reading news, making notes and lists, checking baseball updates, checking the weather, playing games, and more. In all of these use cases, this tablet performs well.

When I first tested this device, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I had read about TCL Nxtpaper technology but had never had a chance to test it until now. When I first picked up the TCL Tab 10 Nxtpaper 5G tablet, I was amazed at how versatile the display was and how easy it was to switch from normal mode to color paper to ink paper. Verizon’s plans start at $30 per month, which isn’t cheap. Data plan options are perfect for users who frequently use their tablets on the go outside of the comfort of Wi-Fi.
I keep the TCL Tab 10 Nxtpaper, data plan or not, because I mainly use it around the house. If you use your tablet or laptop in an area without Wi-Fi, it’s okay to use your iPhone as a hotspot.
