I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone to the Scarborough checkout with a cart full of stuff only to be reminded that Walmart doesn’t accept Apple Pay like the rest of the world. If you’re lucky, you’ll just forget your real wallet in your car and not your Apple Wallet, and you’ll be able to pop out, grab your card, and pay. However, I wasn’t so lucky and many times I had to leave my entire cart behind because I only had my Apple Wallet. Before you start saying “It’s my fault,” yes, I know, but I’m trying to help you here, damn it!
Anyway, Scarborough Walmart isn’t the only one that inconveniently doesn’t accept Apple Pay. According to USATODAY, there isn’t a single place in the world where you can use Apple Pay, and there’s a reason why. Although Walmart has its own app and encourages customers to use it instead, it actually has its own mobile tap option. What you may not know as well is the fact that you can scan items while shopping with your mobile phone for a “contactless” checkout.
That’s it! Remember that you must bring your physical wallet with you when shopping at Walmart or downloading any apps. So that’s it, let’s just throw it on the last home screen so we can cover all the areas.
