Samsung is rolling out a new software update to the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. This update includes the October 2024 security patch for Galaxy smartphones and tablets, fixing over 30 security vulnerabilities in Android and Samsung’s One UI.
The first market to get the October 2024 update for the Galaxy S23 series is the US. As of this writing, it is available in a locked version on some carriers, but is expected to expand to all carriers and unlocked units in the coming days.
The update is likely to roll out for the Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra in other countries by the end of the month. A similar update will soon be coming to the Fan Edition model Galaxy S23 FE.
Updates can be identified by build number S91xUSQS4CXI4 Download wirelessly from your mobile phone Settings » Software Update » Download and install menu. The latest Galaxy S23 firmware is also available from the SamMobile database and can be used to upgrade your device using a Windows PC and a USB-C cable.
The October update for the Galaxy S23 series only includes security enhancements.
