The Galaxy Z Fold 6 is Samsung’s latest book-style foldable device. Although it’s an upgrade over its predecessor, fans are expecting more from Samsung as competition among the top foldable devices intensifies. The company has long been rumored to be developing a second version of the Fold 6, called the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition, which would include more upgrades than the standard version. Now, renders of the upcoming smartphone have been released and it could be the first look at the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition.

The render above shows the back of the device with a three-camera setup. A raised camera island and individual camera ring can be seen, which adds more thickness to the device.

The second render shows a long, thin cut out of the side of the device. Here, we see two buttons on the textured rose gold-colored midframe, presumably a volume rocker and a power button. The midframe looks thin and flat, with tight curvature at the corners.
There’s no word from Evan about what this device is or if these two renderings are of the same device. However, these could be from the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition (previously rumored to be called the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim) for South Korea, which will be branded as the Samsung W25 in China. There are even more rumors.
Previous leaks stated that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 could feature a wider cover display, a less noticeable crease, S Pen support, a thinner body, a 200MP primary camera, and more. We’ll be hearing more about the device this month, as leaked promotional materials indicate that it will be released on October 18, 2024, with general sales starting on October 25, 2024 in these selected regions. Details will be announced soon.
