Apple announced Monday that it has released a new software update that includes a number of artificial intelligence features for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. This new update is called “Apple Intelligence.”
Apple’s iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 are now available for download to users. New updates are available by going to your device’s settings.
Among the new features are writing tools that allow users to virtually rewrite, proofread, and summarize text using AI. New AI tools can make suggestions that match the tone of your message, whether it’s professional, concise, or friendly.

Apple also says Siri is more conversational and has improved language understanding. Apple says Siri now also has the ability to answer thousands of questions about Apple product features and settings, including how to record your screen and easily share your Wi-Fi password.
Apple also says the Photos app will make it easier to find the photos you’re looking for. Users describe what they are looking for and the app helps them find the photos they want.
The Mail app has also been updated to automatically place time-sensitive messages at the top. It also allows users to summarize messages without having to click on them.

Apple Intelligence is available on iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, A17 Pro or iPad with M1 or later, and Mac with M1 or later .
Apple says new AI features will be released in the future.
