There hasn’t been a new generation of iPads since 2022, but that doesn’t mean it’s old news. For example, you can currently get the Apple iPad (10th generation) on Amazon for $299.99 (was $349.99).
This is the lowest price we’ve ever seen for an Apple iPad, thanks in part to price changes that Apple just announced earlier this year. That added $50 in savings is even more impressive since the retail price of the cheapest plan recently dropped from $449.99 to $349.99. Apple has already launched the 2024 iPad Air and iPad Pro, but for some reason the standard iPad was not included as part of the launch. (It is unknown if and when it will be available.)
Amazon is currently offering a $50 discount on both the 64 GB and 256 GB storage options. Of course, the price goes up with storage, so for 256 GB you’ll have to pay $449.99 (was $499.99). However, all colors cost the same for each storage size except for the pink 64GB option. Colors include blue, pink, silver, and yellow.

In its review of iPad 10.9 (2022), TechRadar praised the improved camera quality and performance leap from previous iPads. It used the same A14 Bionic chip as the iPad Air 4th generation, and even though it was two years old at the time, it was still powerful. Plus, the 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display is larger than past iPads, and the new True Tone feature cleverly adjusts the screen’s lighting based on your environment.
Long battery life and connectivity also make your iPad more useful. During testing, we found that the battery can last up to 22 hours. However, this time decreases by 8 to 10 hours when you engage in more demanding activities such as streaming or video conferencing. Accessories such as the Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard also contribute to the overall functionality, with features similar to a notepad and laptop. Please note that the 10th generation iPad is only compatible with Apple Pencil 1, not Apple Pencil 2.
