Connecting your device to your Windows 11 computer is super easy thanks to the Phone Link app. This Windows 11 software lets you view notifications, make and receive calls, and use mobile apps right on the big screen of your Windows 11 laptop or computer. However, if you don’t want to connect your device to your PC indefinitely, you need to unlink your phone from the app.
Unfortunately, many users seem to be finding it difficult to unlink or remove their phone from the Windows 11 Phone Link app. According to multiple users (via XDA Developers), the Phone Link app in Windows 11 has lost some features, most notably the ability to remove devices from the app.
Previously,[設定]inside[デバイス]section, tap the three-dot menu icon next to your device name, then[削除]I was able to easily remove the device from the app by selecting . Windows users on the Microsoft Feedback Hub are reporting that the three-dot menu icon is no longer visible in the “Devices” section.
At this time, it is unclear whether the removal of the phone’s unlink functionality was intentional. Microsoft engineers on the Feedback Hub tried to resolve the issue by simply providing outdated instructions for unlinking devices from the three-dot menu icon. This suggests that Microsoft may not be aware of the removal of this feature.
Luckily, there are workarounds available so your phone won’t stay connected to the Phone Link app forever. Simply unlink your device by signing out of the account you used to set up your phone link. The disadvantage of this solution is that if multiple devices are connected under the same account, all linked devices will be removed.
