What was your first smartphone?
We all remember the feeling when we used a smartphone for the first time and were able to browse the web smoothly on it while also being able to play games and other fun apps. What was your first smartphone? Do you remember when you got it? My first smartphone was an Android phone, an HTC Evo 3D, that I bought for Christmas in 2011. I remember being so excited to try all the apps I saw my friends using. Plus, the 3D camera was a cool (and gimmicky) feature that not all phones had. I had it.
What is your most disappointing technology purchase?
Every technology product sounds like a must-have, but there are tons of junk released every year. What’s the most disappointing technology product you’ve ever bought? It doesn’t have to be the worst. Rather, it’s the one you were most excited about, but that didn’t quite live up to your expectations. This is difficult for me. I can say that the few tables I have owned have been the most disappointing. I like the idea of a table, but I always have a hard time finding a suitable use for it.
What do you think about Chromebooks?
Chromebooks are great for certain uses, but they’re not for everyone. While it’s great as a lightweight auxiliary device for use at school or while traveling, it’s difficult for most people to use it as their primary work device. What do you think about Chromebooks? Love it, hate it, or don’t care? I bought a refurbished Chromebook in college and brought it to class because it was lighter than the school-issued laptop. Since then, I’ve only used them occasionally and like them as simple sub-devices, but I’ve never been able to use them as my main work machine.
How often do you shut down your computer?
Thanks to faster storage, shutting down and restarting your computer isn’t as tedious as it used to be. Some people shut down their systems every night, while others only shut down their systems when updates are required. What about you? How often do you completely shut down your computer? I use sleep mode at the end of most days and restart it about once a week (when I need to update or when you realize that time has passed).
Which carrier do you use and do you like it?
Whether you stick with one of the big names or join a low-cost MVNO, there are many mobile providers to choose from to power your phone. What is your current mobile phone company? Do you think I’ll keep using it for a while? I’ve been using Mint Mobile since 2020 and I’m very happy with it. The price is reasonable and the coverage is good. For me, who is at home most of the time and using Wi-Fi, this is the perfect complement.
What is the oldest technology device in your home?
It’s easy to forget about the old computer in the basement, the old phone in the drawer, and the unnecessary cables buried in your bag. What is the oldest piece of technology in your house (that you know of)? For me, I think it’s the Super Nintendo and games. I also have an original Motorola Droid phone, but it feels old compared to other phones out there. But someone must be beating me!
How often do you use wireless charging?
Wireless charging was once an amazing feature, but now it’s standard on many mobile phones. It’s not perfect, but it’s useful. What do you think about wireless charging? How often do you use it? I use wireless charging at my desk and for my AirPods, but I still charge my phone when I’m in the car or sitting on the couch. is connected. That’s nice, but fast wireless chargers are expensive, so you don’t really need them.
Are you using a mechanical keyboard?
Anyone who types with any regularity should upgrade to a mechanical keyboard. It’s more fun to type on than cheaper alternatives, and comes in a variety of formats and switches, so you can find the one that’s right for you. Have you switched to a mechanical keyboard yet? If so, which one do you have? I’ve been using mechanical keyboards since 2014 (when I started writing), and I can’t imagine life without them. My first keyboard had cherry blue switches, but after they wore out, I switched to a cherry brown board a few years ago. I don’t play a lot of games on my PC, but considering the amount of typing I do, a mechanical board is essential.
Do you prefer wired or wireless accessories?
When purchasing a new keyboard, mouse, or headphones, one of your biggest decisions is whether to buy a wired or wireless model. Which do you tend to prefer and why? I currently use a wired keyboard and mouse as I’ve had issues with wireless mice in the past. I used to use a wired gaming headset, but I have to say that since switching to a wireless headset, it has become much more convenient.
Do you use a screen protector on your phone?
Some people consider a screen protector to be a must-have accessory for their phone, while others think it’s not necessary. Where does it fall? Do you have a screen protector on your current phone? And has your stance on screen protectors changed over the years? I used to put a screen protector on my phone because I thought it was a smart idea, but my phone I stopped using it a few days ago because I never drop it. I don’t like the feel of touching the screen any more than not touching it, and I’ve never actually scratched the screen.
What was your first MP3 player?
If you’re old enough, you probably remember when MP3 players came out and changed the way we listened to music. What was the first device you used to carry hundreds of songs in your pocket? An iPod or something older? The first portable media player I used was a Sandisk sansa-m250, a basic Yes, but it worked well enough. From there, I upgraded to a Zune (yes, really) before moving to a smartphone.
What was the first smart device you added to your home?
Whether you have 20 smart home devices or just a few, it’s fun to look back with nostalgia and remember the first one you got. What was the first smart home device you bought? When did you get it? If you don’t have a smart home device, what do you think is the first one you’ll use? No, but my first purchase in this area was the 2nd generation Echo Dot in 2016.
