Apple will postpone the release of its next MacBook Air and iPad Air models to the first half of 2025, according to a new report.
After launching the iPhone 16 series, Apple is looking to release the remaining series of devices. According to Bloomberg, its release schedule has been revised to spread the device launches over the remainder of 2024 and the first half of 2025.
Specifically, Apple is said to be holding an event for the MacBook Pro, Mac mini, and iPad mini in late October, with the devices expected to ship on November 1, 2024. After that, we should also see the M4 iMac by the end of 2024.
However, updated models of MacBook Air and iPad Air will have to wait until early 2025. Around the same time, Apple is said to be releasing M4-based 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air models.
Rumor has it that updated 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Airs will also arrive in spring 2025.
This could coincide with the previously rumored 2025 iPhone SE model. An updated Magic Keyboard for iPad Air and an upgraded AirTag item tracker could arrive ahead of June’s WWDC conference.
In terms of major product releases, we expect the next versions of Mac Studio and Mac Pro to arrive in late 2025. As usual, the iPhone 17 lineup and the latest Apple Watch Series 11 will be announced in the fall.
