This week on the TT Show, Jak and Kosta finally discuss their recent trip to MSI’s factory in Shenzhen, China. There, we got a close look at MSI’s new Z890 board, Intel’s latest Core Ultra 200 series CPUs, and even saw thousands of MAG Z890 TOMAHAWK WIFI boards being manufactured.
With new motherboard and chipset technology, there’s a lot of cool new technology you’ll want to upgrade to, especially for flagship motherboards like the new MSI MEG Z890 ACE. Arrow Lake and Intel Core Ultra 200 series CPU benchmarks are starting to appear, with full reviews and availability coming later this month, so it won’t be long before the full picture becomes clear.
The new Z890 motherboards are also now capable of supporting next-generation graphics cards, and this week NVIDIA announced three GeForce RTX 50 desktop graphics cards (GeForce RTX 5090, GeForce RTX 5080, and GeForce RTX 5070) at CES 2025. I learned that there is a possibility of making an announcement.
This will be a much different launch than what Team Green has seen with the GeForce RTX lineup, with x70-class cards arriving up to six months later. Perhaps this will be NVIDIA’s answer to AMD’s upcoming Radeon RX 8000 series with RDNA 4. This will not be a flagship product and will be on par with the current GeForce RTX 4070.
Another big topic on this week’s show is a new report depicting how Google is collecting an astonishing amount of personal data from its latest Pixel smartphones. Jack’s report is sending ripples around the world. Tweak Town And to the rest of the world, Google has reached out to him with a statement denying the claims, but many questions remain unanswered.
In the world of PC gaming, Jak and Kosta discuss the lukewarm response to Starfield’s latex expansion and how Valve used ChatGPT to improve its new multiplayer shooter, Deadlock.
