Tide and Adyen team up to power small business payments with iPhone Tap to Pay

Tide has partnered with Adyen to enable small businesses to accept in-person contactless payments using only their iPhone and the Tide iOS app.

Tide is making Tap to Pay on iPhone available to all new and existing Tide merchants who own an iPhone. Members can accept contactless payments from customers using just their iPhone, eliminating the need for a terminal.

New members joining Tide will soon have Tap to Pay on iPhone automatically enabled in the Tide app. This means you can start accepting payments on your iPhone as soon as you sign up for a Tide Business checking account.

Tap to Pay on iPhone allows merchants of all sizes to accept contactless credit cards, debit cards, and Apple Pay using only their iPhone and the Tide iOS app, without the need for additional hardware or payment terminals. You can accept all forms of contactless payments, including , and other digital wallets. .

The ability to accept contactless payments provides new and existing Tide customers with a smoother checkout experience.

With Tap to Pay on iPhone at checkout, merchants simply prompt customers to place a contactless payment near the merchant’s iPhone, and the payment is completed securely using NFC technology.
