According to Windows updates, File Explorer’s Android integration has started rolling out to users, but the update is not yet available to everyone. It’s not just Windows 11 users. It will also appear in Windows 10. To get this feature, you must update your cross-device experience host through the Microsoft Store, but a full system update is not required. Once you have access, your Android device should automatically appear in File Explorer.

What is the transfer speed?
This feature uses Wi-Fi and provides faster speeds than USB. In fact, our latest Windows tester measured transfer speeds of almost 1.2Gbps for some files. You can move things between your phone, computer, and/or vice versa without any problem. Managing files on your phone is a time-consuming process, but this feature makes it easier. After deleting files from your computer, you will find a new Trash folder for your phone, which you can use to restore your files. However, these are automatically deleted after 30 days, so make sure they are exactly what you want to delete.
If you’re tired of sorting through hundreds or even thousands of files on a small touch screen, this feature is a welcome change. This streamlines the user experience and is more convenient than accessing information via USB. Additionally, it will be easier to find specific files or rename them for easier access in the future. It also makes it very easy to transfer your important photos from your phone to a redundant backup to keep them safe. If File Explorer integration is not yet available, please wait. The update could arrive later today, but it could also take another day or two to reach all users.
