Time zones are the bane of remote worker existence, especially if your team is international. I can try to keep track of who lives where and what time they are there, but my brain isn’t wired that way and I know I’m not alone.
There’s a free, open-source application by developer Dena Sohrabi that makes it easy to track the time where your collaborators live (there’s a name for the app; I’m not just saying it exists). You can add your time zone and add a custom image and name. This makes it very easy to check the time of the members of your team. There are many apps that track time zones, but There stands out because it focuses on people rather than places.
To get started, launch the application, click the menu bar icon, addition button. From here you can add a name, location, and optionally an image. You can add images manually if you want, or just enter your X/Twitter or Telegram username and the image will autofill for you.

By repeating this process for everyone you work with on a regular basis, you can easily find out the times where your team works. Things like daylight saving time are taken into account. This is especially useful if you work with people in a place that doesn’t practice daylight saving time, or if you live in a hemisphere that switches in the opposite direction to yours (as mentioned earlier, time zones are confusing) ).
It doesn’t offer much in terms of configuration. You can decide whether to display people in ascending or descending order. You can also set the app to open when your Mac starts. It doesn’t have much else to offer, nor does it need to. Personally, the only thing I’d like to add is a desktop widget, which the developer says they might add later.
