Motorola Razr Plus vs Razr Half Open

TL;DR

  • Motorola has quietly announced that Circle to Search is coming to its smartphones, but didn’t say which devices.
  • I discovered this feature on the Motorola Razr 50 and Motorola Edge 50 Ultra.

Circle to Search launched exclusively for the Galaxy S24 in January and quickly expanded to the Pixel series and other Galaxy devices. These days, more and more OEMs, such as Xiaomi and HONOR, are equipping their phones with convenient search features. Now you can add another OEM, Motorola, to the list.

as discovered by 9to5GoogleMotorola has quietly announced that Circle to Search is available on select phones.

Imagine being able to search for something without having to switch apps. That’s exactly what Circle to Search offers. A new way to search some Motorola smartphones with a simple gesture.

However, Motorola’s announcement did not mention which devices or reveal future rollout plans. We reached out to Motorola and Google to find out which devices support Circle to Search. We will update the article as soon as we receive a response from both.

We have independently discovered that Circle to Search is available in the latest update for Motorola Razr 50 and Motorola Edge 50 Ultra. Over 100 Android devices support Circle to Search, but the majority of the list is made up of Samsung Galaxy smartphones.

Circle to Search is a really useful feature that will dramatically change how quickly and often you use Google Search. It makes searching so much easier and it’s one of the new features I’ve used the most this year.

Have you used Circle to Search on your Motorola smartphone? Let us know in the comments below.
