IFA 2024 in Berlin brought us a ton of innovative products this year, but one gear category that stood out to me was all the new travel accessories. If you’re like me, you want your travels to be as smart and streamlined as possible (no tangled cables). That’s why I’m always on the lookout for new and useful gadgets to stash in my carry-on.

These six products stood out to me as smart, innovative, and most importantly, space-saving, and they were just made available to the public. Let’s check it out.

1. PlugBug by TwelveSouth

maker of original things air fry — An adapter that lets you use Bluetooth headphones in your plane’s headphone jack — The next smart travel essential has been announced. plug bugthe first USB-C adapter with built-in Find My support.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve left an adapter or charger plugged into a hotel outlet, but bringing an adapter or charger with location support can be a game-changer.

Also, do you often lose your charger? Twelve South’s new PlugBugs include Find My

PlugBug is available in a 50W model (with 2 USB-C ports) or a 120W model (with 4 USB-C ports), both of which support dynamic charging of two or four devices simultaneously. The device itself is sleek and slim, and when plugged in, it sits close to the wall for maximum accessibility. All in all, this is one of those devices that makes so much sense that you wonder why it’s not more popular already.

PlugBug is available for pre-order now and will ship in mid-September.

2. Satechi Vegan Leather Passport Cover with Find My

If you’re still walking around with a loose passport, you might want to consider getting that bad guy into custody. Satechi passport cover with Find My support is great in that it not only protects the actual passport itself, but also allows you to monitor its location.

If you leave without your passport, Find My will immediately notify you of its whereabouts. It also saves you the time and money needed to replace it if you lose it. That’s one thing I never want to lose.

Also: We got our hands on Lenovo’s self-rotating laptop at IFA 2024 and it was pretty spectacular

Vegan leather cases are luxurious and durable. Supports wireless charging with Qi, Qi2, or MagSafe chargers to keep your location tracker active. At $60, it’s not cheap, but it’s a powerful device for people who tend to lose things.

3. Anker MagGo 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Pad

Anker’s MagGo 3-in-1 is a small foldable device that received a lot of attention at IFA for its portable form factor and convenience for travelers with Apple devices. When folded, it’s small enough to fit in the palm of your hand and securely closed with magnets. But when unfolded, it becomes a 3-in-1 wireless charging station with Qi2 that supports three devices at the same time.

Claimed to have a designated charging port for the Apple Watch and charge an iPhone 15 Pro from 0% to 20% in 15 minutes, the device simplifies hotel nightstand situations with a single charging point for your device. It is one of the devices that become

The only downside to this device is its relatively high cost at $90. Sure, it’s an innovative and useful design, but the asking price may turn off some potential buyers.

Currently available in four colors, all of which are available for pre-order. According to Anker, black units will ship after September 15, 2024, and white units will ship after September 20, 2024. The pink and blue units will be available later this year.

4. Beyerdynamic Amiron 300 earphones

Beyerdynamic makes some high-fidelity audio products, from solid open earbuds to bone conduction headphones, and these are some of our favorite products we tested this year. This week at IFA, the company announced not one but three new products, including new earbuds that are perfect for travel.

Amilon 300 Featuring active noise cancellation and long battery life of up to 38 hours and up to 10 hours of continuous playback time with all-day use, if accurate, this compares to Apple’s AirPods Pro 2, Sony’s XM5 earbuds, and Samsung’s It’s longer than Galaxy Buds. Pro 3. These are earphones that can be used throughout the flight.

ALSO: Don’t buy AirPods: These Beyerdynamic headphones give you the look, the comfort, and the sound.

Amiron 300 features Bluetooth 5.3 with multipoint, 10mm dynamic drivers, and Qi-compatible wireless charging. Additionally, the buds themselves have a streamlined, flat design that doesn’t protrude, making them perfect for sleeping on a plane. The current price is $279 and it will be available in October in black and white.

5.Soundcore Space One Pro headphones

If earphones aren’t your thing, you’re in luck: Soundcore just released foldable over-ear headphones that are perfect for travel. of space one pro It’s portable enough to easily fit into a packed bag, and light enough to be unnoticeable. Beyond the form factor, it has very impressive fast charging capabilities, with Soundcore claiming you’ll get 8 hours of battery in just 5 minutes of charging time. Not bad for a long-haul flight.

They have active noise cancellation and are very light to wear, making them a good choice for people who like to sleep with headphones on to drown out noise. In my hands-on testing at IFA, it also sounded great with an overall balanced soundstage.

Also: Apple will announce two new AirPods models on Monday. The main differences are:

of Space One Pro is available now for $200for a limited time, you’ll receive a free travel carrying case (regularly priced at $35).

I think this is one of those products that actually makes good use of the included carrying case. This completes the package of headphones as a great travel pick.

6. Belkin Boost Charge Pro

Finally, having a reliable power bank for your laptop is an absolute must when traveling. boost charge pro It’s a beast when it comes to reliable power.

Announced at IFA, BoostCharge Pro has a 20,000 battery capacity and the ability to charge up to three devices simultaneously. However, the 65W power delivery is only available when using one port. Personally, I appreciate the fact that there are two USB-C ports and one USB-A. Since you don’t always have the usual amount of gear with you when you travel, this increases the number of different cables you can use.

Also: Apple lovers will love Belkin’s new multi-gadget foldable travel charger

It is extremely lightweight and compact considering the amount of fruit juice, and the display showing the amount of power that can be used is easy to read and practical. the Available now for $90.
