As rumors about the slim smartphone continue to spread, analysts claim that the iPhone 17 Slim will come with a new design and a 6.6-inch display.
The iPhone 17 Slim is expected to be the new, thinner model in the series and is expected to launch in late 2025 alongside other iPhone 17 models. With a possible launch in a year’s time, analysts and leakers continue to predict what the new model will offer users. consumer.
A research note by Jeff Pu of Haitong International covers many areas that have been rumored for some time. This includes the use of a 6.6-inch display in the new model, which will obviously replace the Plus model.
It will be powered by an A19 chip, which Pu said uses the same 3-nanometer process that TSMC used to make the iPhone 16 Pro model, the A18 Pro. It apparently has 8GB of memory, but it’s nowhere near the 12GB of the Pro model that Pu claimed in May.
As for the construction of the slimline model, Pu suggests that it be made of aluminum. This should make the already thin device much lighter than the Titanium Pro model, but Apple will have to be careful to avoid bending-related issues.
Pu expects the camera to consist of a single 48-megapixel rear sensor, with Face ID support and a 24-megapixel camera on the front.
Pu added that this model should have a completely new design in contrast to the previous version.
Pu is one of the most frequent Apple rumor spreaders, but accuracy isn’t his strong suit as he’s been wrong about Apple’s release schedules before. However, his observations this time seem to be in line with other rumors and commentary about the model.
