  • [壁紙とスタイル]A strange issue has been discovered that creates duplicate color selections in menus.
  • According to Google’s issue tracker, this appears to be working as intended.

After a long wait, Google finally released Android 15 for Pixel devices this week, giving users access to new features. New releases of Android are very exciting, but rather than a complete overhaul, some releases offer further improvements to the OS and are completely different from the previous ones. The update will gradually roll out to all Pixel owners, but it won’t be long before it also applies to Samsung and OnePlus owners.

But for now, Pixel owners will be left to research all changes on their own, as well as any potential issues that may be lurking in the latest OS update. If you’re a long-time Android user, you know that Material You got quite a buzz when it was released a few years ago. This allowed users to customize their devices like never before, offering thoughtful ways to change the OS and adding a pop of custom color based on the wallpaper of your choice.

This seems to be working as intended

If you’ve played around with his favorite features in Android 15, you may have noticed a small oddity. In fact, Android Authority’s Pranob Mehrotra was the first to reveal a small issue where duplicate color selections appeared in the wallpaper and style menus.

You can see an example of this problem in the image above, which shows a variety of great color combinations to match your wallpaper. However, if you look closely at the outer left and right options, you’ll see that they’re exactly the same, or at least look like they are.

Now, Mehrotra has taken a closer look at the issue and it appears that this behavior has been present since the Android 15 beta released in July. You might be wondering if this fix was missed, but according to the Google Issue Tracker entry, it appears to be working as intended, which may come as a surprise.

So what’s going on here? Well, we reached out to Google for comment to find out more about this behavior and see if there’s more to it than meets the eye. Of course, we’ll update if we hear anything from Google.

While it can be a little annoying, this isn’t a major issue that detracts from the experience. Just to be clear, this is specific to Android 15 on Pixel devices. So there’s a good chance you won’t see it on other devices running Android 15.
