The new Apple Mini has only been out for a few days, but Amazon is already offering its first discounts. It may not seem like much, but the new iPad mini is on sale at Amazon in all colors for $484, or $15 off the MSRP, so if you’ve been thinking about buying one, now’s a good time to do so. (I don’t know why it’s not marked as a sale, but I can assure you it’s on sale.)
It’s been quite a while since Apple updated its iPad mini tablet, the last time it was released in 2021. And it’s a fairly mild update, with a faster A17 Pro chip, support for Apple Intelligence, and compatibility with the new Apple Pencil Pro. As far as the design is concerned, the new tablet is the same as the previous version and features the same 8.3-inch display with 500 nits. As for colors, a new blue option has been added to go along with Purple, Space Gray, and Starlight. The best part is that the new iPad Mini starts at 128GB. This is double the lowest capacity option of the previous model, effectively reducing the price by $50.
If these upgrades aren’t enough for you, you can still get the 6th generation iPad mini for $350 (30% off) while supplies last. It’s still a great tablet, but keep in mind that it won’t be able to support all the AI features that Apple includes in iPadOS 18.1 and later.
