We’ve been waiting years for a new Apple iPad Mini, and the 7th generation model was finally released just a few days ago, on October 23rd. I wasn’t expecting discounts so soon, but I was surprised to see the first sale on a new tablet today. The 2024 Apple iPad Mini is currently available for $484, which is $15 off the original price.
Buy Apple iPad Mini 7th Generation for $484
This offer is available from Amazon. Discount applies to Blue, Purple, and Starlight color versions. If you want the Space Gray edition, its price is $489, but it’s still a $10 deal.
Why change something that’s already great? The 2021 Apple iPad Mini was a great tablet when it launched. That’s why the 7th generation Apple iPad Mini takes a very similar approach, with some key upgrades.
Of course, the design is still gorgeous, following Apple’s new design language with angular edges, an aluminum back, and small bezels. The size is also very small at 195.4 x 134.8 x 6.3mm, making it convenient to carry. The 8.3-inch screen has a crisp 2,266 x 1,488 resolution, which is great considering its small size. The screen can also reproduce the entire DCI-P3 color gamut.
So what’s the difference? It is powered by the new Apple A17 Pro chip and 8GB of RAM. This will significantly improve performance. The new model also adds support for Apple Pencil Pro and USB-C Apple Pencil. By comparison, the 6th generation iPad Mini only supports 2nd generation Apple Pencil and USB-C Apple Pencil. The battery size is the same at 5,078mAh, so we expect battery life to be similar. In our testing, the 6th generation iPad Mini’s screen on time lasted about 7 hours.
Be sure to act quickly. This deal may be small at only $15, but the 2024 iPad Mini just went on sale a few days ago. $15 off is quite a discount considering how early it was released. We’re sure many of you are already considering buying a new iPad Mini, so you might want to save some cash.
Should you buy the 6th generation Apple iPad Mini?
Apple iPad Mini (6th generation)
Apple’s smallest tablet still leads the field.
The smallest model in the iPad line has new features under the hood for 2021, including support for Apple Pencil (2nd generation).
Now, if you’re considering buying an Apple iPad Mini, you may not need to get the latest and greatest. After all, the device looks and feels pretty much the same unless you choose blue instead of pink. Although the 7th Gen Mini has improved performance, the 6th Gen Mini still delivers impressive performance. Most people don’t notice a big difference until they start working on it. Not everyone cares about Apple Pencil Pro support. Many people probably don’t even have an Apple Pencil.
If you can stomach a few drawbacks, the 6th generation Apple iPad Mini is currently only $349.99. That’s a savings of $149.01. Most users will definitely find this to be much better value for money.
Or maybe the 10th generation Apple iPad.
Apple iPad (10th generation, 64GB, Wi-Fi)
The new iPad in 2022 will be a big change for the line.
The latest iPad has abandoned the old design and also abandoned the Lightning port. Numerous internal upgrades have been made and some fun colors have been added as well.
If you don’t mind a larger tablet, the 10th generation Apple iPad is also on sale for $299, which equates to a $50 discount. Although it is not the most powerful of these three models, it still performs very well and provides performance that will satisfy most users. It has an Apple A14 Bionic chip and 4GB of RAM. Of course, the screen is larger at 10.9 inches and has a sharper resolution of 2,360 x 1,640. Perfect for enjoying movies and playing videos.
It also features the new Apple design language, including angular edges, metal backs, thin bezels, and colorful options. It looks almost the same, but is larger. However, larger size also has advantages. It is equipped with a large capacity battery of 7,606mAh.
