The teaser poster for “The Gorge” declares: This is part of IGN’s exclusive first look at Skydance Media’s upcoming Apple Original movie from Doctor Strange director Scott Derrickson.

Miles Teller and Anya Taylor-Joy follow elite snipers (one American one person, the other a Russian person). What is their mission? To protect the outside world from the mysterious evil lurking within.

According to the official synopsis, “They deepen their bond from afar while remaining vigilant to protect themselves from an invisible enemy.” “When a cataclysmic threat to humanity is revealed to them, they must work together in a test of both physical and mental strength to protect the canyon’s secrets before it’s too late.”

“Canyon blends multiple genres: romance, sci-fi, action, spy thriller, and even horror,” Derrickson said in a statement to IGN.

“The idea was to first spend a lot of time on the backstories and evolving relationships of the two characters, played by Miles Teller and Anya Taylor-Joy, and then move on to explore the canyon’s relentless and unpredictable dangers and mysteries. It was to see him go into survival mode within “ itself. “

The Gorge was written by Zach Dean (Tomorrow War) and also stars the iconic Sigourney Weaver. Production took place in the UK in 2023.

Skydance’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger are producing, along with Crooked Highway’s Derrickson, C. Robert Cargill, and Cheryl Clark, as well as Dean, Adam Kolbrenner, and Greg Goodman. .

Apple TV+ plans to release The Gorge in 2025.
