There are no ads, no in-app purchases, and no words or letters. This game is designed to turn traditional toys like blocks and busy books into digital experiences. Pok Pok is a Montessori-inspired playroom for children ages 2-8. Our interactive learning games are open-ended with no levels or wins or losses. This provides calming, non-addictive play that helps kids stay regulated. (That also means fewer tantrums!)
On iOS, Pok Pok has been available for years, first releasing in 2021, but the company’s CEO Melissa Cash explained: 9to5Google One of the reasons parents are pushing for the release of Android is because of the lower cost of Android hardware compared to iPads, even if they use an iPhone.
She further explains in the press release:
Bringing Pok Pok to Android means expanding our mission to foster creativity and curiosity in children around the world. This announcement marks a major step forward in making playful learning accessible to more families around the world and opening the door to children no matter what device they use.
Pok Pok will be available through the Play Store starting today and “in the coming weeks” through Amazon’s Appstore (for Fire tablets).
The app has a 7-day free trial period, after which it runs on a subscription. You pay $6.99 per month or $45.99 per year, which goes toward ongoing content updates to Pok Pok that arrive every 6 to 8 weeks.
Continuous updates on new content for Pok Pok can be found at: 9to5 mac. In a press release, Pok Pok’s Melissa Cash teases an upcoming update that will bring numbers to the app for the first time.
