great deals on tablets

Apple/CNET

The entry-level 10.2-inch iPad coming in 2021 should be your starting point for tablet shopping. This model lacks USB-C and retains the classic home button, but is compatible with the Apple Pencil stylus (sold separately). The baseline iPad remains a great choice for kids, families, and anyone looking for a best-in-class touchscreen and support for Apple’s full App Store and services. Read our review of the 9th generation iPad.

Samsung/CNET

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE is part of the latest lineup of Galaxy tablets, and while it’s not as powerful as the Ultra or Plus, it’s much cheaper. It runs a 10.9-inch, 2,304×1,440 resolution screen and is powered by a powerful Exynos 1380 processor that can handle most things.

Amazon/CNET

Amazon has lots of discounts on Fire tablets for kids, and this Fire HD 8 is 40% off. It comes in blue color and includes ad-free content, parental controls, 13 hours of battery life, and 32 GB of storage. The 64GB model also receives a $60 discount.

Amazon/CNET

Tablets don’t get cheaper than this. This is the lowest price we’ve ever seen for an Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet, with a huge 54% discount bringing it down to just $60. It features an 8-inch HD display, 64 GB of storage, and a 30% faster processor than the previous generation. Perfect for streaming shows on the go.

Apple/CNET

This 2022 12.9-inch Apple iPad Pro is over $1,000 off at Amazon subsidiary Woot and comes in Space Gray or Silver designs. This particular model comes with 2TB of storage along with Wi-Fi and cellular functionality. Most notably, it incorporates Apple’s ultra-fast M2 chip.

Apple/CNET

Woot, an Amazon subsidiary, is offering deep discounts on Apple iPad Pro models equipped with the M2 chip. This 11-inch model is currently $550 off and comes with 1TB of storage and Wi-Fi capabilities. It’s available in silver, but some of the other storage sizes are already sold out, so we don’t know how long it will last in stock.

Samsung/CNET

This Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ is a great value, made even better with a $40 discount at Best Buy. It has an 11-inch display with 1,920×1,200 resolution, graphite color, and a slim, lightweight design that’s perfect for carrying.

Apple/CNET

If you’re interested in this slim, lightweight option that’s compatible with Pencil 2, now’s the time to act. We only saw savings of about $30 recently, but now the price has dropped by 24%, which equates to a savings of $120. This makes the iPad Mini the cheapest we’ve ever seen on Amazon.
