of Supernote A5 X2 is an upcoming tablet designed to provide a paper-like writing experience. It features a 10.65-inch E Ink display with 300 pixels per inch, support for digital pen input, and an Android-based operating system that features handwriting recognition and optimization for tablet E Ink displays.
As the name suggests, this is the second generation tablet from the makers of the original Supernote A5, and the company says the new model features a larger, higher-resolution display, a slimmer, lighter body, and a modular design. Please replace the motherboard or battery. The company hasn’t officially announced pricing or detailed specs yet, but a recent FCC listing gives us a pretty good idea of what to expect.
The company behind the Supernote product line has uploaded a user manual and photos of the inside of the tablet, which includes a 1.8 GHz Rockchip RK3566 quad-core ARM COrtex-A55 processor, 4 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage, and a microSD card reader.
The tablet’s display is an E Ink Carta black and white screen with a resolution of 1920 x 2560 pixels. There’s no front light, so use this device in bright environments or consider adding a clip-on book light. But in a way, it just adds to the paper-like experience. Rival E Ink tablet maker reMarkable has been selling popular devices for years, and just launched its first model with a front light this year.

But one thing to keep in mind: The specifications listed in FCC documents may not be 100% representative of the final product. When Redditor thenguyents posted a link to the FCC materials, a Supernote representative pointed out that the materials the company had submitted to the FCC were “based on initial preparations for certification materials.”
With that in mind, here’s what we learned from the FCC about the tablet’s preliminary spec sheet.
