Samsung has finally announced the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition. The large display, slim profile, and 200MP main camera alleviate some of the Z Fold6’s pain points. It also features larger displays: a 6.5-inch LTPO AMOLED 2X cover screen and an 8-inch LTPO AMOLED 2X foldable display. Unfortunately, the device is currently exclusive to South Korea, and rumors say it will only be launched in China (possibly as the Galaxy W25), without stepping out of these two markets.
Qualcomm’s new superchip for mobile has arrived. It’s not called Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. In keeping with Qualcomm’s nomenclature for computer chips, it’s the Snapdragon 8 Elite. The new chip is manufactured on TSMC’s 3nm process and promises 45% more CPU performance and 44% more power efficiency compared to SD 8 Gen 3. On the graphics side, Qualcomm debuts an improved Adreno GPU that delivers a 40% performance boost. In addition to improved ray tracing performance, it also delivers performance and power savings. Moving to the AI side, the new Hexagon Neural Processing Unit (NPU) delivers increased performance per watt, allowing AI tasks to run 45% faster.
The first mobile phones equipped with this chip are coming soon. Xiaomi said that its 15 series will be the first to be equipped with this chip, and we have seen a Geekbench test of the Xiaomi 15.
Samsung’s overhauled Z Fold6 will be exclusive to South Korea when it launches.
Latest X80 modem, plus generational CPU, GPU, and AI upgrades.
The results were amazing.
OnePlus 13 will also be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Elite. The phone will be available on October 31st (Halloween, gasp!) in three colors: blue, black, and white. We also got to see the OnePlus 13 being actually unboxed.
The unconventional teaser campaign continues.

It’s so bad that you should refrain from updating it.
