Leaker Ice Universe posted an invitation video from Samsung to the October 21st event on X. There’s no explicit mention of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition, but given that the company has finished announcing all of its other major products, this launch event is probably a good start for that special, slimmer foldable It will be a presentation event.
Interestingly, Samsung isn’t calling this event “Galaxy Unpacked,” which makes sense considering the device will only launch in limited markets.
Rumors suggest that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Special Edition will address some common complaints about Samsung’s current flagship foldable devices, including a noticeable display crease and bulky design. Apparently, the device is about 0.6mm thinner than the Fold 6 and features a titanium frame for added durability. The size of the cover and internal screen are also increased to approximately 6.5 inches and approximately 8 inches, respectively.
The folding display’s creases will probably be less noticeable than before, but it’s unclear what adjustments Samsung will implement to achieve this.
