This article was updated with Samsung’s early Black Friday sale on October 17th.

After giving away a free smartwatch to Galaxy S24 FE buyers, Samsung has reduced the price of the Galaxy S24 Ultra again.

The South Korean company has slashed the price of its 2024 flagship phone by 20% when you use the code “TWENTY” at checkout. This only applies to shoppers in the UK and the promotion will run until October 29th. The launch date for the Galaxy S25 isn’t too far away, which is why Samsung’s current lineup of phones is repeatedly offering deep discounts.

The “TWENTY” code also works on the Galaxy S24 Plus and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, but not on the base Galaxy S24 handset. The Galaxy S24 FE is also 10% cheaper when you use code “NOW10” at checkout. The Flip 6 is currently £100 ($130.07) cheaper, but the Fold 6 is one of the few Samsung phones currently not discounted.

It’s worth noting that if you buy one of these devices via the Samsung app using the code ‘APP5’ and spend at least £500 ($650.36), you’ll get an extra 5% off.

This is a long-term agreement with Samsung. When it comes to wearables, Samsung is giving away a smart scale with the purchase of a Galaxy Watch and increasing the trade-in value. Galaxy Ring stubbornly remains at list price.

The trade-in value when purchasing the Galaxy S24 Ultra has not been increased in this sale, which may explain the steep discount rate. The maximum amount Samsung will give you for your old phone is £490 ($637.35) for a Galaxy Z Fold 5 and £430 ($559.31) for an Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max. We don’t recommend either deal as both phones are still recent and have years of updates left.

This is a great promotion that saves you a significant amount of money off the initial cost without a contract, and for me this is the golden rule of trading. But if this year’s frequent discounts are anything to go by, we suspect Samsung will be saving top prices on its entire line of smartphones and tablets for the Black Friday shopping period.

Amazon Prime Day prices (up to 25% off the Galaxy S24 series) show you just how cheap Galaxy phones can be on Black Friday. Along with significant price cuts, Samsung will go all out with discounts on accessories, store credits for wearables, and enhanced trade-in values. If you can be patient, it might be wise to wait a few more weeks until all major smartphone manufacturers offer the lowest prices.

Update for October 17th: Samsung US also got in on the fun with their very early Black Friday sale. This isn’t Samsung’s actual Black Friday sale, as the discounts are pretty mediocre, but that didn’t stop the Korean company from mentioning Black Friday in the promotional headlines.

As I say, the price cuts aren’t great, but they are decent. The best deals include $350 off the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and $150 off the Galaxy Z Flip 6. if I don’t have a mobile phone to trade in. Both phones come with increased trade-in values, up to $1200 for the Fold 6 and $650 for the Flip 6. To get this, you’ll need to hand over the latest phone from Apple or Samsung, which is clearly not recommended.

Elsewhere, the Galaxy S24 Ultra comes with a trade-in value of up to $750 for the Galaxy S23 Ultra. However, other more viable trade-ins are well priced. The net benefit to buyers of the Galaxy S22 Ultra is $650, the Galaxy S21 Ultra is worth $600, and the Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max is worth $400.
