Samsung continues its early Black Friday sale with a big discount on the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
The Korean company has launched a promotion called “Samsung Week” that offers discounts on several products in its lineup. One of the bigger price drops is the Galaxy S24 Ultra, which is now $270 cheaper in the US and 20% cheaper in the UK.
In the UK sale, you can get 20% off Samsung’s flagship phones by using the code ‘TWENTY’ at checkout. The sale also offers discounts on Galaxy Buds, Galaxy Watch, and Galaxy Ring when purchased with your phone. This offer ends in 13 hours at the time of writing.
The Samsung US offer is divided into two parts. Get a direct discount of $120 when you purchase the Galaxy S24 Ultra in select colors (Blue, Green, Orange). Or, if you don’t have a device to trade in, Samsung will take your phone back for $270.
Both are heavily discounted. But, as is often the case, Samsung has also increased the trade-in value of older devices. The highest valuation is reserved for the Galaxy S23 Ultra, but we do not recommend this as the device is very new.
However, if you’re a chronic upgrader who can’t resist FOMO on a new phone, you’ll pay $549.99 for the Galaxy S24 Ulta after all discounts are applied. Not bad for a top-of-the-line phone. Save even more when you buy from the Samsung app and redeem the “App5” code (for first-time buyers).
For the sake of others, Samsung is giving some respectability to older smartphones here.
- Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra – $650
- Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra – $600
- Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra – $400
- Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus 5G – $400
- Google Pixel 7 Pro – $300
Apple’s pricing is surprisingly low in this sale. For example, Samsung only pays $350 for the iPhone 12 Pro Max, but $400 for the S20 Ultra, which was released in the same year. On the secondary market, it could fetch the same price or even more than the iPhone 12 Pro Max.
The same goes for the base iPhone 13, which Samsung values at $200. Google’s pricing for its technology is also poor. The most Samsung is offering for an older Pixel is $300 for last year’s Pixel 8 Pro.
If you want to know more, try looking for a working Galaxy S20 Ultra unit on the second-hand market. I also found one in trade-in condition for less than $180, so if the listing accurately represents the condition, you could potentially get a $400 discount on Samsung. However, if this sale happened too early, it means that Korean companies’ actual Black Friday sales are only a small part. It’s a few weeks away. I suspect Samsung is saving some great deals for when that happens.
