Samsung fans interested in the Galaxy Z Fold series may be interested in (SE), which goes on sale this Friday, October 25th. However, this smartphone will only be sold in stores in South Korea and China.
The Galaxy Z Fold SE is 1.5mm thinner and 3g lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold 6, which is 1.6mm thick and weighs 236g. The inner and outer screens are 8 inches and 6.5 inches respectively. In comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold 6’s screen is 7.6 inches and 6.3 inches.
The Galaxy Fold 6 comes with 12GB of RAM, while the Galaxy Z Fold SE comes with 16GB of RAM, which improves performance on AI tasks thanks to Samsung’s . These tasks include real-time conversational interpretation, image editing, audio summarization and transcription capabilities. With these features and more, Samsung aims to help users “unleash” their creativity.
The last notable change is the rear camera. The Special Edition’s rear sensor has been upgraded from the standard model’s 50 megapixels to 200 million pixels, which will please smartphone photography fans.
Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold SE has a suggested price of 2,789,600 won, or about $2,025. Currently, no sources mention prices in China. The Galaxy Fold SE is basically the same as other Galaxy Z Fold models, but it’s the thinnest and lightest model to date. It’s more difficult to source if you’re not in Korea or China, but perhaps Samsung will change that in the future.
