Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra
Imagine an Android tablet so large that it could be mistaken for a laptop. That’s it Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultraa device that pushes the limits of Android tablets with its size and ambition. This isn’t the first time Samsung has gone down this path. In the past, the company also manufactured large tablets. The flip side of this is that these tablets are extremely powerful tablets with the best possible hardware on the market.
actual, galaxy tab s10 ultra This is really Samsung’s answer to Apple’s iPad Pro. That means the prices are just as high. It is priced at Rs 1,08,999, which is expensive for a tablet. So is this giant living up to its potential, or is there just too much of a good thing? Keep reading to find out.
display and design
We’ve put it into these two categories because there aren’t any major changes from its predecessor, the Tab S9 Ultra. The display is still stunning, with the same 14.6-inch 2X Dynamic AMOLED panel, with vibrant colors, deep blacks, and a 120Hz refresh rate that makes everything feel buttery smooth. There is.
Now watching movies is a blast, and even everyday tasks like browsing the web or reading articles feel immersive and engaging. Thanks to HDR10+. Contrast, detail, and dynamic range all combine to create a great viewing experience.
But there’s a catch. This huge screen comes at a cost. The Tab S10 Ultra is big. Like, Really big. In fact, I’d like to sign a petition to sell it as a small laptop rather than a tablet, but it can be quite unwieldy to hold for long periods of time.
Are you reading a book in bed? No, forget it. Will you be using it on the go? You’ll need a fairly large bag. Thin bezels look very smart, but they make it difficult to hold the tablet without accidentally touching the screen. This can be especially frustrating when playing games, watching videos, or doodling.
Therefore, to get the most out of this tablet, you should ideally invest in a keyboard cover. You can also use it as a laptop while traveling or working from the comfort of your home or office. Samsung hasn’t sent me a keyboard cover, so I can’t really talk about its performance or efficiency at this point.
However, the quad speakers are definitely a highlight. Delivers rich, powerful sound with impressive clarity and depth. Dolby Atmos support further enhances immersion and makes movies and music sound even more cinematic.
performance
It’s true that Android tablets have mixed reviews in the market regarding their performance. However, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra has the potential to change this statement.
Under the hood, the Tab S10 Ultra is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ processor. This processor was a flagship not so long ago, and it significantly improves the tablet’s performance. But believe me, this chip is still a beast. I tried so many things with this tablet, from scrolling in X to editing videos in Adobe Rush, multitasking to watching games, and it managed to deliver smooth performance during my testing period. Ta.
It was especially impressive during gaming sessions. I fired up BGMI, set the graphics to HDR and Extreme, and then pushed it to Ultra HDR with an Ultra frame rate. Surprisingly, I didn’t experience any lag after playing the game for a solid 30 minutes. Quite an accomplishment for a tablet of this size.
Having said that, it must be mentioned that the Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra is not the most comfortable device for mobile gaming due to its large 14.6-inch display. It’s a bit unwieldy for quick one-handed gaming sessions, which some may prefer for a smaller device. But if you can manage the size, the performance is really impressive.
Tablets are also great for everyday productivity tasks. Whether you’re drafting an email, creating a presentation, or just taking notes, Galaxy AI can help. More on that later, but I’m happy to say that even after intensive use of Galaxy AI features such as generative editing, I didn’t experience any stutters or lags in performance.
Galaxy AI
One of the main highlights of this year’s Tab Ultra is Galaxy AI. Samsung already has AI in its flagship smartphones, so bringing it to its flagship tablet makes a lot of sense.
Imagine this. Can you put a cat on your shoulder, put a lamp next to you, or even erase a person from the background when taking a photo? Well, this is the power of Galaxy AI, and it feels similar to having a mini Photoshop.
It’s not just about image editing. All the great AI features found in the S24+ and Ultra are here too. Live Translate for real-time translation, Generative Edit to fine-tune your photos, Note Assist to take notes, and Interpretation to break down language barriers. They’re all here and optimized for this huge screen.
Naturally, with a tablet of this size, you’re more likely to use it for note-taking and creative work. And the S Pen included in the box (thank you so much) makes these tasks easier. Whether you’re writing down notes or releasing your inner emotions, da vincithe S Pen is your friend.
When you purchase the Galaxy Book Cover Keyboard Slim, you will receive a dedicated AI key. But to be honest, I didn’t want a dedicated AI key for my use case. I don’t know maybe this is one of those things that will eventually grow on me once I start using it.
S pen
The S Pen is another great feature of the Tab S10 Ultra. Nice to see it included in the box (Apple, are you listening?). The S Pen is incredibly responsive and accurate, making it perfect for note-taking, sketching, and even serious digital art.
The S Pen makes a huge difference. It works seamlessly with your devices as one, making it especially useful for students and professionals who need a quick workflow on the go. The low latency is also impressive. Galaxy AI features further enhance this experience, providing smart tools to help you edit and organize your notes and images, making your work not only easier, but more fun.
camera
Let’s be honest: No one buys a 14.6-inch tablet primarily for the camera. And the Tab S10 Ultra’s camera certainly reflects that. They’re…okay, helpful. It’s good enough for video calls and the occasional document scan, but don’t expect to be blown away by the image quality.
The rear cameras consist of a 13-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. In good lighting, photos look great, with detailed and accurate color reproduction. But things start to fall apart in the dark. This introduces noise, blurs details, and significantly reduces overall image quality. The ultra-wide lens is a nice addition, but it has the same limitations as the main camera.
On the front, there is a dual camera setup with a 12-megapixel primary camera and an ultra-wide-angle camera each. The photos can be said to be pretty decent, suitable for video calls and the occasional selfie. The ultra-wide camera is also useful for group calls, ensuring everyone fits in the frame.
To be fair, flagship smartphone cameras perform better than this tablet’s camera, but for everyday video calls and casual snaps, this camera is perfectly adequate.
battery life
The Tab S10 Ultra’s 11,200mAh battery is impressive. By using different patterns, I was able to squeeze out about 8 hours of screen on time. This is very good considering its size. I basically use it for watching videos, using it as a sub monitor, playing games, and browsing the web.
However, that large battery also means that it takes a while to charge, even though it supports 45W fast charging.
verdict
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra is without a doubt one of the best Android tablets I’ve ever used. It has a beautiful display, powerful performance, a versatile S Pen, and a long-lasting battery. It’s a true powerhouse that can handle anything you throw at it.
Yes, it’s expensive. And yes, it’s big. But if you’re looking for the ultimate Android tablet experience, the Tab S10 Ultra is worth every penny. This is a device that can completely replace a laptop for many tasks while offering the portability and convenience of a tablet.
That being said, if you already own a Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, I don’t think it makes sense to upgrade to this new model. Because this model towers over the bricks laid down by its predecessors.
