Circle to Search is reportedly coming to more Android devices next month. In an exciting development, Tecno has announced that Circle to Search will be available on the new foldable Phantom V Fold 2 from October 2024.
Samsung debuted Circle to Search with the Galaxy S24 series. It was developed by Google in close partnership with the Galaxy manufacturer. Google has also extended functionality to all Tensor-powered Pixel phones with Feature Drop.
We knew Circle to Search wouldn’t be available on non-Galaxy and Pixel smartphones until October of this year. Samsung has already announced that this feature will be limited to certain phones made by Samsung or Google.
Samsung appears to have reached an agreement with Google. To demonstrate Galaxies’ dominance in the Android ecosystem, the companies may have limited Circle to Search’s expansion for at least 10 months.
Google regularly works to optimize Circle to Search for all Android smartphones. Other big vendors like Xiaomi, Vivo, OnePlus, and OPPO are also expected to be on board as the Tecno Phone launches next month.
Now, Google hasn’t officially announced any expansions to Circle to Search. Tecno is also a Google partner, so this lively claim cannot be true. Please pay attention. Google has ambitious plans to reach 200 million Android users with Circle to Search.
