ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, IN (WSBT) — County commissioners announced the release of a new resident reporting app called SJC311.
Commissioner Anthony Hazen held a press conference Tuesday morning to introduce it.
Residents can use the app to report concerns related to roads, code enforcement and the health department.
The app also has a duplicate detection feature that notifies users if a request already exists in the system and allows them to follow up on existing requests.
“This app is about improving the quality of life, so what we really want is for residents to be able to communicate effectively with the government and for us to be more responsive to the government in real time. “We need tools like this application that will allow us both to do that,” said Economic Development Planner Frank Fotier.
Additionally, the home screen provides links to request public records and view agenda items.
This app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Residents can continue to report concerns through the St. Joseph County website and the SJC311 link on the home page.
