Ottawa’s Reddick Public Library will host two Smartphone Basics sessions for adults on Friday, November 1st.
The first session is designed for iPhone from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, and the second session is designed for Android from 11:30 AM to 1 PM.
Discover valuable insights on how to get the most out of your smartphone. This includes basic setup, image messaging, tips for taking great photos with your camera, app downloads, and some fun tricks. The session will conclude with a personal Q&A with Cricket Wireless experts. Register for the session that corresponds to your phone type.

Monday, October 28th, 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.: Homeschool art for all ages. Connect with other homeschoolers and learn about different artists and art styles. This event is for all ages.
Tuesday, October 29th 10:30am-11:15am: Ready, set, read! 3 to 6 years. Join the library for a fun story time featuring music, motor activities, singing, literacy games, crafts, stories, and more.
Tuesday, October 29th 4:30pm to 5:30pm: Silent Book Club, grades 7-12. Bring the book you’re reading and enjoy some quiet time with others. There will be an opportunity to discuss your book if you wish, and of course refreshments will be provided.
Wednesday, October 30th, 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.: Shake it, rattle it, read it! From 9 months to 36 months. Create lasting memories as you sing, dance and craft with this fun, interactive storytime designed especially for young audiences.
Wednesday, October 30th from 4:00pm to 5:00pm: Children’s book club for kindergarten through second grade. For this month’s book club, the library will discuss Doreen Cronin’s “Click, Clack, Boo” and then create a costume for Farmer Brown. Copies of this book are available at the children’s desk.
Saturday, November 2nd 1:30pm to 3:30pm: Loop group, adults. Learn to knit and crochet in a friendly environment with knowledgeable people.
