We think Apple’s AirPods Prom2 are the best wireless earbuds for iPhone owners, and you can buy them for less now thanks to Prime Day in October. AirPods Pro are marked down to $169 during the sale event, a significant discount from the regular price of $250. While these earbuds didn’t get a complete refresh in September like the standard AirPods, Apple introduced a number of new features to the Pro 2 through software updates. The Voice Isolation feature is designed to improve audio during calls, and Siri Interactions lets you say “yes” to Siri using gestures like nodding when you can’t respond vocally.
Perhaps the biggest new feature coming to AirPods Pro is hearing testing and the ability to use the earbuds as over-the-counter hearing aids. It hasn’t been rolled out yet, but it’s expected to be rolled out by the end of the year.

Otherwise, the AirPods Pro 2 have excellent sound quality, with similarly robust ANC, as well as an unparalleled transparency mode. Like all Apple earbuds, the Pro supports seamless pairing and switching between other Apple devices. So it’s great for people who have an iPhone, but if you live within the Apple ecosystem and have other devices like an iPad or MacBook, you’ll get even more out of it.
While the design may be a bit dated at this point and the battery life may be average, the AirPods Pro are still a solid choice for iPhone users looking for reliable wireless earbuds. If you don’t want to spend that much money, consider the AirPods Pro 4 with ANC, which were released just last month.
