October’s Prime Day is fast approaching, and more new deals are popping up in the final hours before the event begins. One of the best laptop deals we’re seeing right now is the Apple MacBook Air with M2, available now for $749. This is a $250 discount and a new record low price. We think this machine is the best budget MacBook in Apple’s laptop lineup.

In our initial M2 MacBook Air review, we were impressed with the laptop’s thin design, gorgeous 13.6-inch display, excellent quad-speaker setup, and the M2 chip’s impressive performance. Previously our top pick for the best MacBook, the new M3 model steals the top spot. However, the M2 Air doesn’t skimp. Those on a budget (or those who just want to save money) can opt for this machine and still get a ton of laptop and a lot of power.

Some would argue, and so did our own Daniel Cooper, that the best part about the M3 MacBook Air was that the price of the M2 Air dropped after its release. The M3 chip is quite similar to the M2, and while there’s no doubt that those who want the latest and greatest should buy an M3 machine, for most people who use it as a daily driver, an M2 laptop will suffice. is. And this discount becomes even more attractive when you consider that the M2 was priced at $1,200 when it first launched in 2022 (it was only lowered to $1,000 after the M3’s debut).

Amazon is currently offering other discounts on its MacBook lineup. The M3 MacBook Air is discounted by $200 to $899, just $50 more than its all-time low. The 15-inch MacBook with the M3 chip is also on sale for $1,099, which is $200 off.
