In case you missed it, we covered the Amazon Prime Big Deal Days smartphone deals here. This article will focus on tablets and watches, but there were very few sales on watches.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ features a large 12.4-inch IPS LCD (90Hz) and Samsung’s on-screen DeX multitasking (but not video output). The tablet, like its sibling, is powered by the Exynos 1380 chipset and comes with four OS updates (one is already down since it launched with Android 13).
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE is a small but not small 11-inch tablet that also has a 90Hz IPS LCD. Both tablets have a microSD slot for additional storage, but we recommend choosing the 256GB option on the FE, as the 128GB tablet has 6GB of RAM instead of 8GB.
Google recently separated the Pixel Tablet from its speaker dock to lower the price. This makes it difficult to use this tablet as a smart display, but it could potentially allow you to control your smart home from Google TV Streamer. The Pixel tablet has a 10.95-inch IPS LCD (60Hz) and an older Tensor G2 chipset.
Apple iPad 10.2 from 2021 is the latest iPad to be part of the Prime Day sale. This is still fully supported and quite usable (unless you plan on doing AAA gaming), but note that it uses an older Lightning adapter instead of USB-C.
TCL NxtPaper 14 aims to create a paper-like viewing and writing experience. It has a special anti-glare 12.2-inch IPS LCD and comes bundled with a stylus and protective case. This tablet is based on the Helio G99 chipset.
Taking a break from Android, the Microsoft Surface Pro is powered by the Snapdragon X Elite chipset and comes with full Copilot+ AI features. It features a 13-inch touchscreen and can be paired with an optional Microsoft keyboard. This ARM slate runs Windows 11 and is compatible with most Windows software needed at work or school.
Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+ is an affordable tablet with 11-inch LCD (90Hz). It is powered by the Snapdragon 695 chip and has quad speakers. Storage is expandable via microSD.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 is small and cheap. It has an 8.7-inch display and the Helio G99 chip seen on NxtPaper. Although it only has stereo speakers, it’s definitely a good choice for your child’s first tablet.
Unsurprisingly, Amazon’s own tablets are heavily discounted. Amazon Fire Max 11 has a large 11-inch IPS LCD (60Hz) with stylus support. It’s not the most powerful Android tablet, but it’s the most powerful Fire tablet. It’s equally good for entertainment and productivity.
The Amazon Fire HD 10 is a little smaller at 10.1 inches, but it still has a high-quality IPS LCD (60Hz) and stereo speakers. Although the chipset is weak, it can play all streaming programs.
There’s also the cheapest branded tablet money can buy, the Amazon Fire 7. Get the 16GB version for just £30. It’s slow enough that using microSD for storage doesn’t have much impact.
Razer Edge is not a phone or a tablet. Android handheld console. It has a 6.8-inch OLED display (FHD+, 144Hz) and is powered by a Snapdragon G3x Gen 1 chip with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage (plus microSD expansion). This is bundled with the Kishi V2 Pro controller. You can use these on your phone too, but Edge is very powerful for its price (it’s 50% off, which helps).

Lastly, I would like to introduce some smart watches. Although the Series 10 was not included in the sale, the Apple Watch Series 9 will also be updated with sleep apnea detection. Equipped with ECG function and 50m waterproof function. However, there is no depth gauge.
Alternatively, you can get the Apple Watch SE (2022), which is a cheaper option. It does not support always-on mode and has no ECG. Still, if you’re an iPhone user who isn’t sold on the benefits of a smartwatch, this is an inexpensive way to try it out.
