The long wait for One UI 7 hasn’t slowed down the leaks, and a new report details what Samsung has in store.
One UI 7 (Android 15) has a lot coming, and Android Headlines has started leaking a look at the integrated parental controls. According to the post, Samsung is preparing to add some simple safety controls for parents and kids, including tools to block unsafe/harmful websites. Additionally, this set of features appears to allow users to block certain apps from their children’s devices.
The publication hints that Samsung will add an integrated device tracker within One UI 7.
AI is expected to be a major part of One UI 7’s updates, including the upcoming Circle to Search update to help with math and physics homework. The company removed this update for the foldable Galaxy in July.
Samsung’s AI capabilities are rumored to continue as the company adds “further options” to Sketch to Image. Elsewhere, many “photo features” are speculated. The publication claims that One UI 7 will allow users to “restyle” portrait photos using Samsung’s on-device AI software. Rumor has it that the next OS update will include “AI-generated artistic effects” for photo transformations that can be shared with other platforms.
Outside of AI, this One UI 7 leak mentions Samsung’s “Energy Score” which was highlighted in the first One UI 6 Watch post back in May. This feature debuted on the Galaxy Watch 7, along with recent foldable devices. Energy Score analyzes the user’s sleep time, amount of activity from the previous day, heart rate, etc., and provides a “daily status”.
One UI 7’s UI has been a hot topic lately, and this leak is no exception, as Samsung says it will introduce “smart notification management.” Additionally, the company appears to be offering an “enhanced lock screen” that looks like a small widget at the bottom of the lock screen UI. This seems to be in the same vein as what Google is reportedly working on for Android 16.
The publication states that in One UI 7, app icons will be refined to be more distinguishable and clear.
In other news, Android Authority cites X leaker TechKhaled_ who posted a video about One UI 7’s animations. This video focuses specifically on animations when switching between apps. Switching from one app to another seems relatively smooth, as the video doesn’t show any software lag or lag between taps.

These leaks come just days after another hands-on video showcasing One UI 7’s visual updates. What stood out in the video were Samsung’s updated icons and widgets. Additionally, the Korean OEM appears to be preparing to introduce a new dedicated notification panel, as well as easy-to-use gestures for brightness and dark mode control. The video then appeared in the camera app, showing that One UI 7 can offer one-handed mode.
Unfortunately, Samsung announced in early October that One UI 7 (Android 15) will not debut on the Galaxy S25 series until 2025. The only saving grace appears to be the One UI 7 public beta program, scheduled for “later this year.”
