One UI is about to make a major UI overhaul
But in the end, that may not really matter. We’re currently seeing little things about this OS popping up here and there, giving us hints as to what to expect when it’s finally released. That being said, a new video has been posted to YouTube by user Mobile Wala Bhai that gives us a good look at One UI 7 running on the Galaxy S24 Ultra. And as far as we can see, things are looking pretty good with updated icons, widgets, animations, etc.
Things are going well so far
This video showcases some of the things we’ve seen and heard in the past, but it’s great to be able to see these elements in action through the video. As mentioned earlier, you’ll see new icons, new widgets, and a split quick settings and notifications panel. In their report, 9to5Google officials were quick to point out that there is also a new battery icon on the top section of the phone.
This new icon repositions the battery horizontally, and the percentage indicator is now placed within the battery icon itself. There is also an animation when the device is connected and charging. Of course, there are other UI elements that have changed, including a new charging animation that pops up on screen.

That said, to get the most out of what we’re talking about here, watch the video above. Because that’s the most exciting part. Currently, no one can predict when this update will arrive, but the only certainty is that it will arrive sometime in 2025.
The good thing is that Samsung doesn’t have to release One UI 7 to push updates with new features to your phones. So brands can push out new features when they need to, without having to rely on one big update, no matter how long it takes. So. If you’d like to try out the beta, we recommend signing up for the beta to get the first chance when it becomes available.
Otherwise, enjoy our latest videos and what we’ll continue to cover once One UI 7 becomes available. We are sure that more features will be available prior to the official release.
