While we wait with thumbs up for the Nintendo Switch 2 to arrive next year, Nintendo announced a surprising gadget today. The gaming company has announced “Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo,” an alarm clock featuring sound effects and theme songs from famous Nintendo series such as Mario and Splatoon.

Alarm clocks also act as sleep monitors that can track your sleep patterns. Nintendo claims the watch can track your body movements and react based on your actions.

Basically, Alarmo is a Nintendo-themed alarm clock. The only ones that stand out are:

The watch boots with themes and sound effects from five Nintendo games, including Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Pikmin 4, Splatoon 3, and Ring Fit Adventure. Masu. Each game has multiple themes associated with it.

When your alarm goes off in the morning, your selected game theme will start playing. Depending on whether you want to get up or not, the built-in motion sensor will react to your movements and play music harder or use other sound effects to encourage you to get up. When it reads what’s going on, it makes a celebratory sound like collecting coins in Mario and stops. Press the button on the top of the clock to stop the noise.

According to Nintendo, the motion detector is a 24GHz sensor that detects movement even at night. It acts as a sleep monitor and provides data about your sleep status.

During the day, characters from your chosen theme game animate the clock with unique animations and chimes on the hour.

If you need a new Nintendo device, this is an option. Otherwise, you’ll have to wait until April next year, when Nintendo is expected to launch the Switch 2. The company is expected to make a formal announcement by March 31, 2025, the end of its fiscal year. happens before that date.
