How does Nintendo Alarm work?
Nintendo Alarmo wakes you up with animations, sounds, and characters from some of the Japanese gaming company’s most famous titles.
- super mario odyssey
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
- splatoon 3
- Pikmin 4
- ring fit adventure
The clock will display the selected game character a few minutes before the alarm, as if it were waiting for the alarm to go off.

The alarm will start by playing a gentle sound from the game. Alarmo’s motion tracking also plays other sounds as you turn over in bed.
For example, the Mario theme features the coin picker’s chime and the plumber’s “Wahoo!” Catchphrase when moving.
If you don’t wake up soon, the game character will walk away and pause the alarm. Nintendo Alarmo will then repeat this cycle until you wake up.
Once completed, the watch will reward you with the selected game completion theme. Alternatively, you can pause the alert by waving your hand over your device.
If you don’t, Super Mario villain Bowser will appear and sound a more powerful alarm.
This device helps you sleep by playing soothing melodies from your favorite titles.

Nintendo Alarmo can also track your sleep patterns with its recording feature. It records how much time you spend in bed and how often you move during sleep.
The Verge revealed that Nintendo has been planning a sleep tracking device since 2014.
On October 9, Nintendo Entertainment Planning and Development Department developer Yosuke Tamori revealed that the company began manufacturing the device during the coronavirus pandemic.
Nintendo Alarmo is scheduled to launch in early 2025, but Nintendo Switch Online and Expansion Pack members in the U.S. and Canada may already be able to purchase it via My Nintendo Store.
