The new Home Control Screensaver in Android 15 turns your tablet or phone into a smart home dashboard, allowing you to control your devices with a single tap. Interactive screensavers eliminate the need to unlock your device or tap shortcut buttons, allowing you to control connected lights and cameras faster.
The screensaver appears when your device is docked or connected to a charger. Works with the Google Home app[お気に入り]Show tabs. This tab can be customized to show commonly used devices, such as individual smart lights, thermostats, and security camera feeds. This tab also has shortcuts to access all cameras, lighting, and air conditioning equipment.
When I tested it on Google’s Pixel tablet, I was able to tap the controls directly to turn off the lights or view a live camera feed. Pixel Tablets have a Home shortcut button that takes you to the same screen, but this removes that step and makes it simpler and faster.
Google has recently put the Favorites tab in a number of new places, including on Google TV, where the home control panel appears on the right side of the screen, and on Android phones and Pixel Watches, which feature a Favorites widget. All these interfaces make it easy to control your smart home. This is good.
Android 15 also includes several other upgrades for Pixel tablets.
