Neat Pixel feature begins rolling out, allowing you to cast media to your tablet with just a tap

Google is rolling out a new, seamless way to transfer media from one Pixel device to another.

As spotted by 9to5Google, the company has begun pushing updates to Pixel smartphones and Pixel tablets to support the “Get Closer to Cast” feature. The publication states that users with “Pro models” will receive this update on their Pixel 6 Pro, 7 Pro, 8 Pro, and 9 Pro (including 9 Pro XL and 9 Pro Fold). Masu. Google’s “Hold Close to Cast” feature has been expected since 2023, and the feature is finally rolling out today (October 24). As 9to5 similarly points out, initial research shows that the feature leverages the UWB connectivity/chip inside Pixel tablets and Pixel smartphones.
