Motorola has announced a series of new Moto AI features coming to smartphones. Moto AI was first introduced during the 2023 Lenovo Tech World event, and we have since started adding two Moto AI features for the Razr 2024 family: Moto Magic Canvas and Style Sync.
“Moto AI advances this mission to transform the smartphone user experience across three core areas: Assist, Capture, and Create,” Motorola said at the Lenovo Tech World 2024 event. It gives users the tools to capture the world around them, instantly recall it, and inspire their creativity.”
New Moto AI features will be available later this year as part of an invite-only beta program. Moto AI is powered by Large Action Model (LAM), which allows users to converse with the AI assistant using natural language. This functionality extends to everyday tasks as well, and future updates to Moto AI will automate everyday tasks as well.
Motorola introduced three new Moto AI tools, including “Catch Me U,” “Pay Attendance,” and “Remember This.” With the “Catch Me Up” prompt, users can save time by asking Moto AI to summarize their personal communications, eliminating the need to endlessly scroll through notifications.
The “Pay Attention” feature helps users remember specific information and details without having to write them down or listen to long recordings to get the details. Enables recording of conversations and speakers, then transcribed by Moto AI for later use.
Additionally, there’s a “Remember This” feature that lets you capture live moments and on-screen information with just a command. It works similarly to the Google Pixel Screenshot app and uses AI to generate content and details about the captured moments. In particular, the memory created is stored locally and protected within the device.
During the beta rollout phase, Motorola takes user feedback into account to fine-tune Moto AI’s capabilities.
