New Macs are coming sooner than you think. In fact, they may already exist. It’s just that it’s not evenly distributed yet.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Garman, Apple is preparing to announce new Macs and iPads in late October, then launch them on November 1st.
More precisely, the company will reportedly launch several variants of the 14-inch MacBook Pro, as well as a new version of the 16-inch MacBook Pro powered by the new M4 chip that debuted in the iPad Pro this spring. Apple is also launching a redesigned Mac mini with M4 and M4 Pro chips (which we wrote about ) and a refreshed iMac with M4 chips. Finally, Garman writes that Apple is considering releasing a new version of the iPad mini.
There’s nothing particularly unexpected here, but we do have a very long and interesting lineup of new devices. But this time something very unexpected happened. A Russian YouTuber may have acquired the next M4 MacBook Pro.

This isn’t a common leak where you get a blurry photo from a factory line somewhere. No, this guy has an entire unboxing video in which he shows off the 14-inch version of the MacBook Pro in detail. The device comes in Space Black (previously reserved for the 16-inch MacBook Pro), has three Thunderbolt 4 ports (instead of two), and starts with 16GB of RAM. And of course, it’s powered by a 10-core version of the new M4 chip. The laptop featured in the video also has 512 GB of storage, which isn’t particularly unusual.
It looks pretty authentic, but there are some questionable details.

The unboxing video looks authentic enough, but it’s odd that the MacBook wallpaper shown on the box is exactly the same as last year’s M3 MacBook Pro. The entire video (partially in Russian) is available on YouTube.
It’s not often we see an unreleased Apple product weeks before its (rumored) release date, so we’ll take all of this with a grain of salt. In any case, I’m looking forward to Apple’s official announcement in late October.
Let’s return to Garman’s prediction. The prediction also mentions several new Apple devices arriving in the first half of 2025. In other words, Garman expects Apple to launch new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Airs, an improved iPhone SE, and new 11-inch and 13-inch MacBook Airs. inch iPad Air models (includes new Magic Keyboard), and upgraded AirTag.
Finally, later this year, Apple may launch new versions of Mac Studio and Mac Pro with the more powerful M4 chip.
