The French company DxOMark, which has been featured extensively on this channel, performs various tests on smartphones, primarily for industry clients. But its rankings, which are based on rigorous laboratory testing using scientific equipment, have also become the standard for consumers, especially the company’s detailed smartphone camera rankings. DxOMark recently updated its ranking of some notable smartphones released in recent months, including the iPhone 16 series. Click here for the latest rankings.
Topping the list is Huawei’s Pura 70 Ultra, which runs without the Android operating system and received 163 points. Google Pixel 9 Pro XL and Honor’s Magic6 Pro are only 4 points apart at 158 points. In fourth place was the iPhone 16 Pro Max, with a total score of 157 points. Additionally, Apple’s flagship device took the top spot in the video rankings, receiving praise for “category-leading video quality with highly detailed, noise-free video images even in low light.”
Interestingly, the company’s previous flagship device, the Huawei P60 Pro, occupies a respectable 7th place. Close behind, at No. 8, are two of Apple’s flagship devices from last year: the iPhone 15 Pro Max and the Pixel 9. Google’s flagship device last year, the Pixel 8 Pro, ranked 11th.
Xiaomi 14 Ultra is in 16th place, while iPhone 14 Pro, which was launched just two years ago, is in 21st place. However, it is surprising that Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Ultra is far behind in 26th place.
