There aren’t any major improvements to the iPad Mini 7, but there are certainly some small improvements that make it better than others.
Apple isn’t trying to attract new users at this point, so if you’re a fan of the iPad Mini, you’ll probably love the iPad Mini 7. We don’t know if Apple is just testing consumer loyalty or if they believe in “keeping it simple.” On October 15th, Apple subtly announced the iPad Mini 7. iPad Mini 7 prices start at $499 for the basic model.
The updated version of the mini tablet is powered by the A17 Pro chip, supports Pencil Pro, increases storage to 128GB, and comes in vibrant colors. However, the design and screen are exactly the same as the previous model. The outdated design and basic updates will disappoint users who had high hopes for the new mini-tablet.

iPad Mini 7 offers all the features of a tab in a much smaller size. Additionally, it also has improved storage capacity compared to its predecessor. Measuring 7.69 x 5.3 x 0.25 inches and weighing just 0.6 pounds, iPad Mini 7 is the epitome of portability. It’s small and light, so you won’t have any trouble carrying it around.
Like previous models, the iPad Mini 7 has four speakers, a volume button, one USB-C port, and a power button/touch sensor ID. The device’s camera placement remains the same in the new version. Camera placement has always been an issue for iPad users, and Apple didn’t give it much consideration this time either.
The iPad Mini 7 is certainly better when it comes to mini iPads, but if you’re already using an iPad Mini 7, upgrading won’t make much of a difference. If you’re not too excited about the upcoming Apple Intelligence, the 2021 model and earlier models will work just fine.
The new iPad Mini will also allow you to use the included Apple Pencil Pro. The device supports Apple Pencil Pro, allowing you to design and explore everything like any other iPad, but for some mysterious reason it doesn’t support Pencil 2.

With the iPad Mini 7, Apple seems to have solved the jelly scrolling problem. Jelly scrolling generally occurs when one side of the screen doesn’t move at the pace of the other, primarily in portrait mode. iPad Mini 7 has an 8.3-inch screen like other iPad Airs and a laminated anti-reflective coating on the front glass. The resolution density is the same as the previous model.
Apple always saves its best screens for the iPad Pro, so the iPad Mini 7 has a basic LCD with a 60Hz refresh rate. However, users expected the new mini to have a better refresh rate, which was Apple’s mistake.

Apple claims the new iPad Mini 7 has improved battery life compared to its predecessor. The iPad Mini 7, on the other hand, lasted 10 hours and 26 minutes, so users didn’t find it very accurate. The iPad Mini 6, on the other hand, lasted 10 hours and 57 minutes, with no significant difference. While it didn’t last as long as previous models, it still has decent battery life for an iPad.

The main feature of the iPad Mini 7 is the A17 Pro chip, which supports Apple Intelligence whenever it is announced. Moreover, this chip also enhances the performance of the device, making processing faster.
This is a serious dilemma for Mini. Buying a Mini now hinges on the hope that Apple’s upcoming AI will make the upgrade worthwhile. Apple’s AI isn’t fully released yet, likely after next spring, but do we believe it will be a game-changer before the next Mini hits the market? Absolutely no risk. Apple has some interesting ideas for enhancing Siri’s capabilities and using AI to simplify tasks like solving math problems and composing emails, but these Many of the features are still in their infancy and far from perfect, and many others simply don’t exist.
